Staff made heroic efforts to get to work at both care homes over the last two days. Some walked long distances, others stayed overnight, whilst some were picked up by the care home owner in a 4×4 vehicle.
Everyone pulled together to ensure that our residents were safe, warm, and cared for in the way they would normally expect.
“It’s so encouraging to see people working as a team and putting themselves at risk for the sake of others. It shows that staff really do care and its not just a job” said Mary Cottrell who owns Tydraw and Wentworth Lodges.
“Thanks to all our amazing staff who showed their committment and care for our residents over the last couple of days”.
